Program Philosophy
For the Love of the Game

Soccer is the most widely played and watched sport in the world. Our program seeks to provide a strong foundation for lifetime appreciation of the game and the global community that supports it. We teach children and young adults technical skills, fitness and dietary health, teamwork and encourage a determined work ethic. We also provide opportunities for parents and adults to gain the appreciation through on-field participation, coaching, coaching education, sponsorship, event coordination and guidance on appropriate sideline support.

Development of Technical Skills

We invite children to formally participate when they are 4 years old and look forward to meeting the 75 year old kid seeking a little nostalgia on the pitch. Our technical program spans 7 core characteristics of top players in all age groups:

  • Speed
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Coordination
  • Endurance
  • Intelligence
  • Competitiveness
Competitive Spirit

Starting the Spring of 2009, North Harford, Jarrettsville and Norrisville joined together to form a common Club/Travel Soccer program call Northern Elite Soccer. Together with the rec programs, we offer two levels of participation: Recreation and Travel/Club.

Recreation - Provides opportunities for players of all ages to actively participate in the game. The youth program participates in the Northern Region Soccer League organized by the Harford County Parks and Recreation Department. This program fosters technical skills development, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Travel/Club - Provides players with advancing skills, ability and desire an opportunity to build on foundation skills while increasing their fitness, speed and strength in competitive fall leagues administered by regional soccer leagues. Some teams provide a year-round opportunity for skilled players to hone their skills, teamwork and fitness in competitive leagues and tournaments under the tutelage of highly-experienced, certified soccer coaches. We maintain more than one team if enough players are available.
